Our targets

A reflection of our commitment and skills, our training courses are enriched by the broad academic experience of our members, contributions from our partners, and national or international projects led by us on education, museology, science journalism or industry.
Since the very beginning, Traces has campaigned for self-evaluative, responsible and liberating scientific mediation. In order to increase awareness and enhance the training of those involved in the public communication of science, we participate in the start-up of neophytes (for both researchers and doctorates), contribute to the initial and subsequent training of professional science explainers, and collaborate in teacher training centres or within large industrial groups.

Our methods

Conceived in close collaboration with our supporting organisations, each of our training programmes gives participants the opportunity to try out new and different techniques, whilst encouraging them to internalise issues or expand upon reflections such as: how do we learn? How can we handle socio-technical controversy? How can we make science entertaining?
The Traces Group’s offer of training to science communication is set apart by its global and cross-disciplinary approach. It brings together the presentation of techniques and practices of science communication with a multidimensional analysis of nature-science-technology-society relations.
